Dubai Travel
Traveling around Dubai is straightforward. There are many options for the mode of transports to assist one in getting around. Taxis are available from various locations and can take you around Dubai with ease. Your hotel should also provide transport and take you around the hot spots and tourist attractions of Dubai.
If you do not have your own car, rented or owned, you can move around in Dubai by taxi, bus service that is provided or by marine transport. A metro service will be available to ease commuting and the estimated time that has been given is late 2009.
BUS SERVICES
Bus services are operated on 62 routes linking various residential and the industrial areas with the two central business districts. The over 1200 buses are equipped with point to point timetables that provide the waiting passengers with time schedules of the bus services passing through specific bus stops. There are also some Inter-Emirate buses for travel to other UAE cities.
TAXIS
Another way of getting around Dubai is by taxi. Starting fares are Dh. 3.00 with an additional fare of Dh. 1.50 per kilometer.

WATER TRANSPORT
The Roads & Transport Authority is restoring the heritage of Dubai by maintaining the traditional way of transport via water and special attention has been given to the preservation of Abras
The waterbus is a highly advanced and modern Abra service providing luxury, comfort for its passengers. This service runs from 6 am till 11 pm every 10 to 15 minutes and costs Dh. 4.00/ticket, while the tourist line costs Dh. 25.00/ticket.
FACILITIES FOR THE DISABLED
An increasing number of public areas now have access and facilities for people with disabilities.
