In 2006, almost 6,000 executives from 63 countries attended Seatrade Middle East Maritime (SMEM).
In 2008, SMEM will be even bigger and better. More national pavilions than ever will be on show, too - including China, Finland, France, Holland, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Turkey and the UK.
The last two years have seen a transformation in the way that investors and business leaders in the Middle East view the shipping industry.
