Rugby World Cup Sevens 2009
This is like playing a normal game of rugby but faster and is vigorously paced. The games are much shorter and last approximately 15 minutes in total. This short yet challenging game allows a Sevens competition to be completed within a weekend.

A new state of the art rugby stadium is being built to host the tournament. It will be the first Rugby World Cup to have both a men’s and women’s competition. 24 men’s teams and 16 women’s teams will participate.
More than 500 million TV viewers are expected to watch. Around 120,000 people are expected at the actual games for the 3 day event.
It is possible that 2009 will be the last Rugby World Cup Sevens Tournament held so make sure you do attend, it’s going to be unforgettable!
The Sevens Rugby may also be included in the Commonwealth Games and/or Olympic Games in the future, so be sure to attend the event or even have up a read up on the games culture.
