Dubai World Championship
The Dubai World Championship will be open to the players numbered from 1 to 60 on The Race to Dubai, formerly known as The European Tour Order of Merit. Only those players numbered 1 to 60 will qualify.

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates (AP) is hosting The world's richest golf tournament, offering $10 million in prize money. This tournament is set to be played will be played in Dubai at Jumeirah Golf Estates on the golf courses designed by the very Greg Norman.
The Dubai World Championship, would run for five years with the option of extending it for another five years, the European Tour has said.
The winner of the tournament receives $1.66 million, and the Order of Merit will be renamed The Race to Dubai, with which ever player finishing No. 1 at the end of the season receiving $2 million.
"The Race to Dubai will bring a new dimension to the European Tour, creating great drama and theater throughout the year as all the best players in the world are given the opportunity to compete in the world's richest tournament," European Tour chief executive George O'Grady said.
Currently, the U.S. Tour's Players Championship is the richest single event, offering prize money of $9 million, so with Dubai now running in the ranks, being the fastest growing city in the world, is now going to hold the biggest tournaments accordingly. This one is not be missed!
