The Dubai Airshow is organised by Fairs & Exhibitions (F&E), one of the most influential names in the aerospace industry's events sector, in conjunction with Dubai Airports, the Government of Dubai and in collaboration with the UAE Armed Forces.

2007 marked the Dubai Airshow's 10th anniversary and attracted over 850 Exhibitors, 45,421 Trade visitors, 140 Aircraft on the static display and a record breaking order book of $155.5 billion.

The enormous success of the 2007 show was a fitting farewell to Airport Expo Dubai, which has been the Dubai Airshow's home since the mid 90s. For 2009 huge demand and the opening of the new Al Maktoum Airport in Jebel Ali has led to the decision to move the event to a new site at Dubai World Central Aviation City in Jebel Ali.

The new Dubai Airshow site will cover 425,000 square metres - double the size of Airport Expo Dubai - with 42,000 square metres of exhibition space. It will have space for 130 chalets, car parking for 4,000 cars in 2009 and rising to 7,000 for subsequent events.

Dubai Air Show 2009 will continue this momentum with an expanded show site to accommodate the increasing demand for exhibition space, dedicated pavilions, focused conferences and increased exhibitor and visitor facilities
